The Ten Gurus

A Guru is a teacher who leads people from darkness to light. Sikhs believe the same divine light lived in all ten Gurus — like one candle lighting the next.

Sikhs show respect by adding “Ji” or “Sahib” to the Gurus’ names. Many Sikhs prefer not to show pictures of the Gurus, so this website uses symbols instead.
